The discovery of mesostructured cellular foam (MCF) silica allows a much wider choice of supports than can be used for the incorporation of catalysts with high loads. MCF silica has pore sizes in the range of 150-500 Å [ 11 ], which are larger than that of SBA-15 and MCM-41.
In this study, composites of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with mesostructured cellular foam (MCF) silicas have been prepared by melt mixing and studied for the first time.
